For some reason the AIP diet has been the gold standard for so
many but is it really everything it's all chalked up to be?
In my professional opinion, no.
I have many issues with the AIP diet because what is inflammatory
for one person is not inflammatory for another.
For example, it states we should remove all grains and legumes.
Grains and legumes are a great source of soluble fiber (you know
the fiber that attaches itself to bile to help remove excess
cholesterol and estrogen from the body) and minerals like zinc &
copper which are crucial for hormone health. So whyyyyy are we
removing these crucial tools when they're designed to support our
hormones!?!
